Frequently asked questions about Utai's Project DIVA playing
Thoughts and thanks to why I'm streaming mostly XIV content...and just variety content in general.

Games Utai has completed on stream

Q: What Data Center and Server are you on in XIV?
A: I'm on Malboro (Crystal), Balmung (Crystal), Seraph (Dynamis), Ultros (Primal), and Gilgamesh (Aether).Q: Do you skip cutscenes?
A: On the first play through - no. Every other play through - yes.Q: Why don't you run MSQ roulette?
A: I can't skip cutscenes.Q: Will you run MSQ roulette?
A1: $100 donation incentive every time, sure. Pay me to run it - I despise it.
A2: Only if it's EXP relevant - otherwise see A1.Q: What's your main class?
A: Casually - Pictomancer (PCT), Red Mage (RDM), Sage (SGE), or Dancer (DNC); Savage and Ultimate content - Gunbreaker (GNB); PvP - Paladin (PLD) or Dancer (DNC) . Catch me working on other classes though; I can play any of them - not very well, but I can play them.Q: Why do you hide chat?
A: There's a lot of negativity and spam that can end up coming up in chat via alliance raids and other things, and I'm not promoting any of that.Q: Why don't you shorten the names? You should shorten names to initials...
A: Nah...I want to know the names of the folks that are around me, be they rude or nice. So I know who it is to call out as well as they have names and aren't called by their classes :/Q: You can't stream me, I didn't give you permission - I don't consent!
A: The game is considerably 'public domain', thus the laws state I don't need your permission to 'record' or stream you via the video game. Let alone the gameplay is focused on me and not you. If I were to record your voice, then I would need permission/consent.Q: What characters do you play?
A. I've got a lot of alt characters I run around on with friends for RP, but I don't really force them through story unless we're actually using them in our RP story. So you can catch me on these other characters actually running around in game:> Tsasan Shirkheg (Malboro)
> Xavier Roiyaru (Balmung)
> Au Gratin (Seraph)
>Utai Mitsumo (Gilgamesh)

Q: When did you start raiding?
A: I started raiding near the end of Heavensward - I started at A5S as a Scholar (SCH), but at that time, the final tier came out as we were working on A6S. So the team, at that time, abandoned that tier to move on to the final Alexander tier where I became a Paladin (PLD) instead. I've been running Savage content as a PLD ever since, and Temp has been my co-tank (and the one that got me into Savage raiding) more times than I'd really like to count.Of course, now, I'm currently running Gunbreaker (GNB) as I was tasked to swap to a different tank, and they changed the way PLD plays, so I've been a GNB for 2 tiers now, but I'll go back to PLD for some old content.Q: How many raid teams do you belong to?
A: Currently, that's up in the air.Q: What days does the team run?
A: Currently, I finished the most recent tier...so...until I find a different one, this is moot and a place holder for the next team.Q: Who's in the Static?
A: In no particular order -
> Utai Mitsumo (Me!) [GNB]
> TBD
> TBD
> TBD
> TBD
> TBD
> TBD
>TBDQ: What happened to the other teams you were on?
A: They either broke apart, I retired from them, we finished for now, or I wasn't invited back for another tier. It is what it is, friends.

Q: Where's your sound?
A: It probably got borked booting up, let me know you can't hear anything, and I'll get it fixed ASAP!Q: How old are you?
A: 38Q: Gender? Pronouns?
A: I'm non-binary, but being trans-masc, I prefer the more masculine pronouns (he/him or they/them). Most of the characters I play are guys, so I don't take offense if you call me he. Female pronouns are a no-no.Q: Do you have a job?
A: Yes, and I quite enjoy it.Q: Who's on mic with you most of the time?
A1: My SO - ShirtlessLizard
A2: My raid-mates or folks I'm actually running content with.Q: Why does your bot greet people? I just want to lurk D:
A: Pukla only personally greets someone if I've deemed them a regular/mod/VIP in my stream and if they actually talk in chat. I may not be looking at chat, but once I get to a considerable stopping point, I can glance over and personally say hello (be it in voice or writing in chat) - he responds so they don't feel alone and alerts me that someone has said hello. Pukla does not announce you if you're actually just lurking, so lurk away if you don't want to truly say hello.Q: But why have the bot greet someone if you're just going to do it yourself?
A: Again, I'm usually looking at the game. Please take Pukla's greeting as my own as I personally set up his greeting - I put a lot of work in programming his commands, and I'm quite proud of how he acts. I'll say hello personally when I get the chance.Q: I'm a 'regular', and I don't have a greeting. What do I do?
A: I'm only human, and Pukla is only as smart as his programmer, so I may have missed that you're a regular, but I do a pretty good job of remembering things. Just send me a whisper, and I'll set you up.Q: Can I have a greeting anyway even though I'm not a 'regular'?
A: Of course! Just shoot me a whisper and what you'd like your greeting to be :3 I'll happily set up the notification for your returning visits.

Q: How long have you been playing Project DIVA?
A: I actually started streaming with this game; however, I stopped...and then eventually rebooted with FFXIV. I've been playing F/F2nd since...at least...late 2014. Truthfully...Twitch says I started streaming at the end of 2017 and went back to it in 2019, but I have an old offline screen that was dated for April 2015 and followers from 2014 so...yeah.Q: You have all these Perfects? Are these lies?
A: Nope! Believe it or not, I actually got most of them while I was drunk on stream many years ago! Nowadays, I'll be lucky if I can even get a perfect now!Q: Why are you playing this song again?
A: Practice! Or I just really like the song. If it happens to be the 'highlight' song, I tend to play it again.Q: Why won't you play this song?
A: I probably don't like that certain song? I mean, you can request it...I just don't guarantee I'll pass it.Q: Wait...I can request a song?
A: Sure! It's a Channel Points reward! But...in reality, if it's requested even without the reward, I'll probably still play it.Q: Will you play the other DIVA games?
A: No. I'm not a fan of Future Tone, nor am I a fan of Mega Mix - they changed the play style (they took away the stars), and in Mega Mix changed the map/patterns in Extreme as well as the mechanics. I don't care to relearn maps/patterns or study new mechanics - I'm set in my ways.Q: Who's your favorite Vocaloid?
A: Kaito - he's legit all over my car :DQ: What do you mean he's all over your car?
A: See for yourself :3 It's known as the 'Kaito Kruiser' and the 'Weeabo Wagon' for a reason.
AS OF MARCH 2024 the 'Kaito Kruiser' has been replaced - I got a new car, so I no longer have Kaito all over my vehicle. I still have the plate, but It may be replaced when it's time for renewal. As much as I love Katio, it's time for a Final Fantasy XIV car.

There's a semi-large backstory as to why I started streaming my XIV/Savage raiding content, and it's about time I wrote it down so I can look back on it myself to reflect on it and give everyone an idea of why and perhaps who inspired me to do what I do. Do these people know who I am? No, not the majority of the people, I'm merely just another person that enjoys their content (and encourage you to at least check out their content as well):When I started playing XIV, I never imagined I'd be raiding, never imagined I'd be sharing my content and my journey, but when I started raiding, I actually found NEST and Drak on Youtube - he is the largest reason I stream my content. Their content always made me laugh, brought me up when I was feeling down, and I still watch it, I still enjoy it. I started watching them way back in Alexander tier days - and I even had started streaming then...but stopped because I just didn't have the capability to stream.Within watching them, when I started out working on the Alexander tier, I switched to Paladin...and the big reason behind that was (aside from the better iLVL at the time) Zollton and Astes. Jesse and Corey always found a way to make me laugh - between cleaving and murdering people...honestly that's why I really cleave my team...and I tend to use a lot of their old jokes from years ago because they were cute jokes (and my raid team loves NEST). But they were always the two that made me want to find a co-tank where we had that same dynamic...or to just have fun and not sweat it when the Savage run goes to shit.Do I one day wish to befriend them and one day run with NEST - sure, it's a dream, far off dream, pipe dream (?), but even I have to remember, they're just people - wonderful people. But I truly thank them and their content for getting me started. For those that have helped me continue, you're not forgotten - My SO, Kori, even my roommate...they've helped with visiting stream, or just helping with gear I need. And those of my own small community of friends as well as those of a new community - Xyros and the Xybatsu - lately I've felt down, having done this for 2 years, but just one person outside of my usual friend group saying they like my content...to actually be part of a community that will actually help lift you up if you're down, to have the same aspirations or wants for others...it's nice to see...I just sometimes have a hard time expressing it.And to those of you that are part of my community and not of my community that watch, that lurk, that come in and say hi and then turn around and leave...thank you...I really mean it. You're another reason I keep doing this, even if it doesn't amount to much - just to be a small thought is nice.So thank you...everyone...and remember, it just truly takes 1 person to start it all - or a raid team in this case - or at least just 1 person to keep you going even if it does look hopeless. Just have fun - be you.
